Recreational Gymnastics
Do you want your child to develop better physical skills, do better in school and develop stronger social skills? Gymnastics can help with all of that!
We are dedicated to providing high quality gymnastics instruction, and committed to supporting your child’s development emotionally, socially, and physically. We work hard to create a recreational gymnastics program that encourages bravery, goal setting, teamwork, and creative expression. Our goal is to reward students for their advancement, and make you aware of what is coming next in their gymnastics’ education and development.
Our once a week recreational gymnastics classes offer hour and hour and a half long instruction for students ages 5-18 following a curriculum of progressions promoted by USA Gymnastics. These classes are divided into three levels: Level ½, Level ¾, and Advanced Level Classes.
Level 1/2:
Your child is new to gymnastics, or still needs to gain mastery of basics in order to move forward in our program safely. There is ample opportunity within our level 1/2 program for your child to be challenged.
Level 3/4:
Your child has demonstrated their understanding of beginner level skills on all apparati, and is ready to move on to intermediate level skills to keep them feeling challenged and engaged. In order to keep your child safe and provide a positive learning environment for all, this intermediate level class may only be entered upon successful completion of a level 1/2 class as determined by your child’s gymnastics teacher or equivalent experience as determined by the recreation program director.
Advanced (Levels 5-8):
Your child has demonstrated mastery of skills in our Level 1-4 progression system and is ready to be challenged by more advanced level skills. In order to keep your child safe and provide a positive learning environment for all, this advanced level class may also only be entered upon successful completion of a level 3/4 class as determined by your child’s gymnastics teacher or equivalent experience as determined by the recreation program director.
