Our Teachers
David Giguere – Owner, Operator
David has been involved with Gigueres since its conception. Established by his parents in 1973, he coached through his young adult years, and took over the business in the 1988. Over the years, he spearheaded several expansions, building the facility into the twelve program sport facility is it today; easily one of the premier children sports facilities in the New England area.
In 2016 Dave launched a new endeavor with his daughter, Caraline Giguere and good friend Eric Matta: Ultimate Obstacles in West Boylston, Ma. UO has quickly developed into one of the largest and highest quality Indoor Ninja Warrior and OCR training centers in New England. Together, they are working on franchising UO.
Paul McCarthy – Boys Team Coach
After a rather lackluster career as a high school gymnast, Paul started part-time at Gigueres in 1979 while attending UMass/Amherst, and went directly into coaching full-time upon graduation with his BS in P.E. Serving as Team
Director, Head Coach, and Preschool Program Director, David Giguere and he purchased the gym in 1988; subsequently tripling the size of the facility and opening Discovery Schoolhouse. He has received recognition for helping coach hundreds of athletes to State, Regional, National, and Collegiate prominence in the Women’s, Men’s, and Trampoline disciplines of USA Gymnastics. Since retiring as MassUSAG State and School Committee Chair, he mentors entrepreneurs, volunteers within his community, coaches the Boys Team here at Gigueres, and enjoys getting beat at golf by his adult son.

Michelle McKeen
Hello I’m Ms. Chelle. I joined the Discovery team in September of 2019 as a Lead Preschool teacher. I am currently working in the Toddler Program, and was Director of Discovery for a time as well. I started my career in childcare as an ABA therapist back in 1998. I took a leave of absence after my youngest child was born and continued my education in the field. I have worked with all age groups from Infants to Preschool since returning to the field. I am certified by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education as a Director 1 qualified teacher. I am First Aid and CPR certified that I re-certify yearly. I have a true passion for teaching and enjoy bringing out the best in every adult and child I encounter, while helping them reach their true potential.
Kathy Boucher

Andrea Laprade
My name is Ms. Andrea. I obtained my Associate Degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Quinsigamond Community College. I am Lead Teacher Preschool qualified. I have been a Preschool Educator since 2013 and began my teaching career at Discovery School House January of 2018. I currently work directly with children ages 3-4 years within the Preschool 2 classroom as well as support all teachers and classrooms within our center from our Toddler room up to Pre-K. My education philosophy is to instill a love of life-long learning through open-ended individual expression. My passion for working with children began early in life when babysitting for family and friends. I always loved how children are full of wonder and search for knowledge at every corner. Each day within the classroom, I not only teach, I learn and grow!
Tanya Barron
Hi my name is Ms. Tanya, I have been in the early childhood field for the last 7 years. I worked in sales/marketing for 13 years prior to finding my true passion working in PreK with these bright, wonderful little learners. Helping each child progress in all areas of their development; academic, social, language, and motor is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I believe in having fun while learning, and being patient while nurturing this growth in a positive and fun environment. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wonderful children, going on adventures and making precious memories.
